Dear Ashford Alabama

Funder Films CIC is proud to formally announce a Frank Brake Community Fund project that we’ve actually been working on for a couple of months! We’ve been working with Ashford’s young people at the Sk8side community project on a project entitled Dear Ashford Alabama…

The project involves a film day which is going to take place on Friday 25th June. You can read all about it here.

And for more details on the project, you can see our press release here.

Ashford Hidden Treasures – part 1

In the Spring, Funder Films CIC was awarded a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant to engage with museums and archives in the Ashford Borough Council area, asking then to identify their favourite objects. We are now ready to share the results, starting with this first very early object, possibly the first sign of human habitation in the area. The series will run every Tuesday up to Christmas on @ASHFORD KENT REMEMBERING THE WAY IT ONCE WAS and the vast majority of the objects will be in museums and public collections and therefore accessible to the general public. This first object is however an exception as it is in private hands.
