This is the final instalment of the Ashford’s Hidden Treasures series… Saving the best till last? Well… Sir John Fogge has definitely become one of my heroes – someone who I knew nothing about 6 months ago! Many thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for funding this project, to Ashford Heritage for providing it with support, to Steve Newton for the fantastic music and to Robert Barker for the great logo. Last but not least, many thanks to all the admins on the community groups who have been so supportive over the past 6 months. And to you for watching and listening! Happy Christmas everyone!

Ashford’s Hidden Treasures – 25
The penultimate treasure in the Ashford’s Hidden Treasures series features a visit to Hothfield. Hothfield Manor was an Elizabethan manor house which has long since disappeared. It was knocked down in the late 18th-century to make way for a Georgian mansion. The account books for the original house, however, still survive.
